Job Description:

The Account Clerk is responsible for accounting functions and procedures, to assist the Accounting Manager in maintaining proper controls in accordance with all corporate policies.

JOB SUMMARY:

Complete day to day finance operations and primarily responsible for computing, recording, collecting and verifying numerical data. Assist the General Manager and Operations Manager in all accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures, including invoicing, collections, bookkeeping, and funds reconciliation. This position will also assist the operational department managers in monitoring, reporting, and controlling expenses through audits and financial analysis. Additionally, responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to our guests and business partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

--- Assist in managing revenues received and dispersed including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, audit, general ledger reporting.

--- Cash handling functions for the hotel to include reconciling all cash drops and petty cash.

--- Process checks and cash funds received in the bank and maintain deposit records.

--- Assist invoice bookkeeping procedures to include chart of accounts coding, invoice entry, and vendor statement reconciliation.

--- Assist in monthly closing procedure to include G/L audits, budget vs actual analysis, and Cost of Goods inventories.

--- Perform follow-up billing and credit collections and inform management of uncollected accounts.

--- Maintain vendor files to include up-to-date statements, invoice history, and Certificates of Insurance.

--- Reconcile reservation commissions and expenses to actualized stay history.

--- Assist is processing payroll or verify payroll files, reports, and employee information.

--- Verify credit card transactions and reply to any credit disputes or chargeback in a timely manner.

--- Maintain office supplies and order as needed.

--- Maintain organized records for all financial documents.

--- Any other job related duties as assigned by Corporate Controller or General Manager.
