Complete Department: Hughes Exterminators - Region 17 - 3011 - Sarasota Location: 7690 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL, United StatesSalary: 40000-50000 per year Full TimePosition Summary: Provide uncompromised service to Arrow's Lawn and Ornamental customers by evaluating and diagnosing lawn and ornamental needs and using hand and powered equipment to apply fertilizer, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides.Essential Functions:Comply with company and label safety proceduresComply with all state and federal regulations, and company policies, procedures, and guidelines including local ordinance black-out datesKeep scheduled appointments with customersInteract and ask questions of customers to determine customer concerns and existing conditionsPerform thorough inspection and evaluation of customer propertiesProperly identify insects, weeds, and fungus conditions, as well as pest harborage areas and conducive conditionsPrescribe corrective measuresExplain to the customer the service procedures and answer questionsProvide appropriate lawn service and treatmentDocument service using handheld technology or complete accurate and legible service documents and provide to the customerSell additional services to existing and prospective customersDraw diagrams/graphs of treatment areas per company guidelinesProvide marketing collateral to customerCollect service payments from customersRespond to service callbacks as required by the customerReport issues to manager as per company policyOperate company vehicle in compliance with Vehicle Responsibility AgreementMaintain equipment and tools in good working orderWash and clean vehicle and ensure proper maintenance and repairsComplete internal reports as requested by the managerMaintain timesheets within company policyAttend and complete training and meetings as requiredPerform other duties as required by managementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Customer Service ' Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes active listening, assessing customer needs, and meeting quality standards for services.Compliance & Safety' Knowledge of relevant equipment, regulation, procedures, and documentation to ensure effective, compliant, and safe treatment and services.English Language ' Ability to write, speak, and communicate in English and the ability to read and understand technical product labels.Monitoring ' Ability to assess and evaluate current or previous pest activity on the interior and exterior of a structure.Math ' Ability to calculate dosages and perform basic math and the ability to draw, mark, and analyze diagrams legibly. Critical Thinking ' Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify problems and determine the best solutions.Minimum Qualifications:Compliance with Drug-free Workplace PolicyAble to pass a pre-employment background check upon offer of employmentAbility to pass the state of Florida's Best Management Practices exam for lawn care and maintain any state regulatory agency required licensingAble to pass internal technical examsPossess current Driver LicenseMaintain a driving record consistent with company standardsHigh school diploma or equivalentPresent a professional appearance including wearing an approved Arrow uniformAble to work a 40-hour (minimum) work weekWilling to work evenings and weekends as neededPhysical Demands:The work environment and physical demands described below are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing essential functions of this job.
