The Opportunity
Black and Veatch is an employee-owned and globally recognized
engineering firm seeking a graphic designer to design technical
graphics for proposals.These graphics help visually communicate the
proposal's key points, which helps BV win work.You are well-suited
for this role if you have a talent for transforming ideas into
clean infographics with clear information hierarchy and consistent
brand style.
The Team
Our Governments & Environmen t business sector provides innovative
solutions for integrated planning, design, engineering and
construction support of critical infrastructure and facilities as
well as resiliency and environmental services for clients
worldwide. The Governments & Environment Sales & Pursuits team
collaborates with business leaders and client-facing professionals
to plan and execute strategies and develop comprehensive, dynamic
and tailored proposal materials with focused messaging and content.
Our team provides expertise in pursuit strategy and proposal
management to help proposal teams enhance Black & Veatch's position
as an industry leader and deliver new business.
We help teams:
Win work - assess, position for and capture opportunities
Showcase expertise - develop visually dynamic marketing
materials
Inform, persuade, compel - create designs and strategic messages
for tailored proposals using InDesign
Drive efficient and effective results - manage best-practice tools
and processes
Key Responsibilities
Infographics that showcase clear information hierarchy and graphic
design excellence.
Traditional infographics and engineering-related graphics, such as
process flow diagrams/work plans/schedules/project site
aerials/etc.
PowerPoint presentations for client interviews.
Juggle multiple fast-paced graphic design projects while ensuring
all deadlines are met.
Communicate collaboratively with internal clients to translate
their vision of proposal graphics into reality.

The successful applicant will:
be a proactive, problem-solving team player with a positive, can-do
attitude
design graphics that optimize clear reading comprehension
be a fast learner who can design quickly and resourcefully in a
consistent brand style
be highly proficient in Adobe InDesign & Adobe Illustrator
have advanced Photoshop and PPT skills
design with a high attention to accuracy and graphic design
excellence
have excellent communication and collaboration skills
have 5+ years experience
Online portfolio is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in graphics, design, or a related field; or
equivalent experience.
2+ years related experience
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding

vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and
regulations.
