Job Description:

The BSE Creative Director will lead brand strategy, brand identity, and advertising across all platforms. The Creative Director will help merge systems and vision by working with BSE's President and Director of Operations. The position will require working with the Director Operations to improve strategies and systems while also working directly with the President to ensure that the Brand Plans come to life visually.
Responsibilities
Manage the creative team and the creative execution of multiple simultaneous projects.
This includes managing the day-to-day of the Graphic Design team members including sub-contractors when needed.
Assist in the development of Audio and TV concepts, scripts and execution of production as needed.
The Creative Director will also manage and produce high-level creative projects for print, online, event, audio and video production (with third parties) while maintaining brand standards and guidelines. This position will be designing in addition to leading.
This position will understand the BSE process, our client's storylines and be able to bring these to life through creative content that is aligned with the story and is produced at the highest caliber.
The CD will work in cooperation with all departments to ensure projects are consistent to BSE creative standards.
Will be responsible for entering and monitoring jobs in Function Point, our project management system as well as any outside vendor projects where a specialist is used to assist in project completion.
The CD will lead the Creative team in effectively using our Project Management System Function Point.
Learn the best ways to use the program for project efficiencies, deadline efficiencies, team efficiencies and invoicing efficiencies for the accounting team.
Continually update processes and systems looking for new and innovative ways to upgrade the way we operate and execute.
This includes ongoing learning & skill sharpening for the design team at BSE. Growing our designers to be the best they can be and working towards elevated designs in everything we do.
Ensure the level of excellence in all creative work designed and executed is consistent, cohesive, meets brand strategy, and is within budget and timeframe. This includes concept, design, copy creation, photographic art direction, supervision of retouching, supervision of production, and overall project management.
Approving concepts and presenting them internally as well as externally.
Keeping up with the industry pulse, bringing trends and techniques learning to the team.
This includes but not limited to overseeing continuous learning for the creative department.
Participating on the leadership team, taking an active interest in key operations to fulfill the agency's and our clients' vision.
Work directly with the President when necessary to conceptualize high-level campaigns, video & audio, photo, logotypes, interactive digital platforms, and all other marketing projects when necessary.
Be a brand copy Ninja who can create copy that ties in with the story and elevates the effectiveness of direct mail, print collaterals, ads, etc.
Work with Social Media Manager to oversee creative execution of digital marketing campaigns for clients and BSE.
This includes attention to conversion funnels.
Act as a leader who can review our client Content/Creative plans and concepts with team members to ensure they bring the brands to life in a consistent way.
Manage the creative execution of multiple simultaneous projects and manage co-branding identities with partners.
Build out & lead internal design team to develop high quality creative.
Identify design service gaps and find solutions to fill those gaps.

General Requirements
The ability to explore multiple design solutions while leading a graphic design team within a fast-paced environment.
The person must have the ability to manage the graphic design team and the BSE projects end-to-end, including assistance with ideation , development , and final print file prep .
The ability to work closely and collaboratively with Creative Team and Client team to ensure projects are on time and meet goals.
Must have an exceptional eye for visual design and layout , creative thinking , and time management skills.
Have a high level of attention to detail, be well organized, and have the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key understanding of traditional and digital best practices and user experience.
Hands-on, solution-oriented approach.
Must have a team-first mentality, positive attitude and has a passion for creative craftsmanship.
Fluent in the fundamentals of design.
Ability to maintain and organize a varying list of project schedules & deadlines.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Art, Communications, or similar field.
5 years of experience in Graphic Design and experience leading and managing a team, or Art Director role and/or Creative Director role at previous company.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Understanding of CYMK, Pantone and RGB color space
Knowledge and experience working from and communicating precise design specifications and in properly preparing and packaging design files for commercial print production.
Knowledge and experience creating a consistent look and feel across a variety of mediums including print advertising, direct mail, social media, email, and web.
