HIV Services, has an exciting opportunity for a Chief Compliance
Officer at our corporate office in Tampa Bay/Sarasota, FL reporting
to the President & CEO. This position is a hybrid work from
home/office position. We are looking for someone who is passionate

Today!Statement of Purpose: This position establishes and
implements an effective compliance program to prevent illegal,
unethical, or improper conduct. The Chief Compliance Officer is
authorized to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement
of objectives of an effective compliance program. Primary Tasks:
Chief Compliance OfficerManage and implement CAN's compliance
program in accordance with industry standards and governmental
expectations. Monitor compliance with federal and state fraud and
abuse and anti-corruption laws and regulations.Prepare monitoring
audits and other related activities.Conduct internal
investigations, communicate with regulatory agencies, and handle
any other compliance issues.Serve as CAN's chief privacy officer in
accordance with HIPAA and its implementing regulations.Responds to
alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies and procedures,
and standards of conduct by evaluating or recommending the
initiation of investigative procedures.Reports on a regular basis
to senior management and CAN's board of directors as to the
operation of the compliance program.Ensures proper reporting of
violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement
agencies as appropriate or required.Develops, initiates, maintains,
and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of
the compliance program and its related activities to prevent
illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.Collaborates with other
departments (for example HR, risk management) to direct compliance
issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and
resolution. Provides training and education on CAN's compliance
program and CAN's policies and procedures to staff upon hire and on
an annual basis thereafter.Stay abreast of relevant federal and
state laws and regulations relating to compliance programs and laws
and regulations impacting the healthcare industry, such as, without
limitation, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and the Stark Law.Consults
with legal counsel, as needed, with respect to difficult legal
compliance issues.Monitors the performance of the compliance
program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking
appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness. Promotes and
practices CAN Community Health, Inc.'s mission, values and follows
policies.Secondary Tasks: Chief Compliance OfficerCross trains with
other departments to increase understanding of entire
operation.Performs all other duties as requested.Physical Demands:

word, visual and auditory acuity.Education/Professional: Chief
Compliance OfficerBachelor's degree and at least ten (10) years of
relevant compliance experience with increasingly progressive duties
and responsibilities.Valid Driver's License - FloridaCertification
in Health Care Compliance (or within one (1) year of
hire)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Chief Compliance
OfficerAbility to work with minimal supervision.Ability to research
projects.Visual and auditory acuity.Ability to utilize
problem-solving techniques.Ability to utilize decision-making
techniques.Good communication and interpersonal
