Hiring for Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice/North Port
locationsFor 40 years, The Florida Center for Early Childhood has
been a leading provider of therapeutic services, early education,
and healthy development for children in southwest Florida. Its
programs focus on infants and children through fifth grade who are
at-risk academically, socially, or economically. The Florida Center
provides developmental therapies, mental health counseling, and the
Starfish Academy preschool in Sarasota and North Port. The
organization also offers Healthy Families, a home-visiting program
that guides parents who need assistance. The state's only Fetal
Alcohol Syndrome Disorders clinic is located at the Sarasota
campus, offering evaluations for individuals of all ages who may
have had prenatal exposure to alcohol. As needs continue to grow in
our community, The Florida Center is committed to helping local
children and families overcome their challenges and reach their
full potential. Due to recent program expansion, the Florida Center
for Early Childhood is hiring multiple Full-Time School-Based
Mental Health Therapists for Manatee County Schools AND Sarasota
County Schools (Bradenton, Sarasota, Venice, North Port).Our
clinicians are based in the elementary school and are fully
integrated into the school team.As one of our clinicians, you
will:Meet with caregivers for biopsychosocial assessments,
including diagnosisInvolve client, family, and other team members
in treatment planningProvide individual/family counselingConsult
with and coach teachers and school staff regarding mental health
strategiesParticipate in interdisciplinary school team
meetingsComplete timely documentation to Medicaid standardsJoin
monthly/bi-monthly peer support and whole group clinical
meetingsOther duties as assignedEducation & Experience:Master's
level clinicians, who are either licensed (LCSW, LMHC) or
registered clinical social work or registered mental health
counseling interns working towards licensure.In addition to a

Physical Demands:- Requires individual to perform a broad range of
activities.- Requires full range of motion, including manual and
finger dexterity and hand and eye coordination.- Requires corrected
vision, speech, and hearing to normal range, or special
accommodations made of sufficient nature for completion of assigned
tasks.- Ability to lift 30 pounds. Occasionally requires working
under stressful conditions or workingirregular hours.- Requires
seated work at desk, including use of a computer. Ability to
drive.Salary: $48,500 to 53,000 per year
