Animal Rescue Coalition, Inc. is urgently searching for
experienced Veterinary Technicians. ARC not only provides
high-quality, high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter services to pet
owners, but also to our partners. We offer our Spay/Neuter program
services to local shelters, animal service agencies and rescue
groups for whom we further reduce our fees in the spirit of
collaboration working toward a true "no-kill' goal. With private
donations we are able to offer discounted rates to low income
clients, Veterans, as well as several other programs for
assistance. ARC offers employees, paid time off, paid holidays, and
discounted products and services to their own pets. Duties and
responsibilities Assists the doctors with sterilization surgeries.
Ability to calculate and administer medication and injections (IV,
SQ, IM) Create patient exam forms and input subjective information.
Correctly invoice treatments and medications. Assist with nail
trims and administer vaccination boosters Promote the need for flea
and heartworm preventative to clients. Cleans and disinfects cages,
treatment area, and exam rooms as needed. Implant Microchips under
the guidance of the Veterinarian. Restrains animals as needed.
Provides friendly interaction with clients and animals ensuring
customer satisfaction. Help to maintain inventory and cleanliness
of entire clinic. Comply with all ARC's policies, procedures and
protocols Other duties may be assigned, based on operational needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High School Diploma/GED
required. Certified Veterinary Technician License preferred.
Bilingual preferred. A minimum of 1- 3 years of experience as a
veterinary technician assisting with sterilization surgery
Knowledgeable in all aspects of veterinary medicine Excellent
customer service and interpersonal skills required. Create a
culture of embracing TEAM work and volunteerism Ability and desire
to promote the mission, vision, and goals of Animal Rescue
Coalition Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 40 pounds or
less. Ability to work directly with both cats and dogs of all
breeds, sizes, and temperament. Must be able to stand for long
periods of time and have the ability to walk, sit, push, pull,
lift, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach above/below the waist
throughout the entire work shift. Full time: choice of 32 flexible
week or 40 hour Monday-Friday.8 hour shifts. Employment Type: Full
