We're looking for a reliable medical assistant to work directly with our healthcare staff and help us provide first-class care to our patients. You'll greet people when they come in, schedule appointments, take patient histories, collect test samples, and assist with examinations, all while building an excellent rapport with our patients. $17-$18 per hour based upon experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:

--- Record patient vital signs including body temperature, respiration rate, blood pressure, and pulse and add the information to their chart
--- Complete the patient's insurance forms in their records, notating all symptoms, test results, diagnoses, treatment instructions, and prescriptions
--- Say hello to patients when they come to the office, answer the phone, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries about prescription refills and treatment to ensure patients have a pleasant experience at our office
--- Talk with the patient about the reason for their visit and record their personal information and medical history to share with healthcare staff
--- Get examination rooms ready for patients by ensuring the rooms are well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and all equipment is sterilized
--- Additional duties related to the position and opening of a new practice

Qualifications:

--- Should have a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency
--- Must have completed an accredited medical assisting program and a supervised externship in a healthcare setting
--- Great communication and customer service skills
--- Possesses basic computer skills to complete administrative tasks
--- Capable of learning Athena EMR
--- Proficiency in English required
--- Spanish proficiency preferred
