SUMMARY
Provide direct physical therapy treatment to pediatric clients
attending for a healthier and more active lifestyle. Provide
services to develop, preserve, and restore physical function that
may have been lost due to injury, disease, aging, or congenital
abnormality. Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, development of
a management plan, implementation of treatment, monitoring and
documenting results, and determining appropriate termination of
services, when possible. Specific therapeutic exercises,
therapeutic activities, specialized manual techniques, education,
prescription of assistive devices, prostheses, orthoses, and other
interventions may be included.
The caseload will be primarily pediatric with a variety of
developmental diagnoses. Treatment locations include inclusion
preschool and center-based elementary schools.
Flexible scheduling with options for full-time, part-time, or
contracted hours.
Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree or greater in Science/Physical Therapy
from a CAPTE accredited University. DPT preferred. Successful
completion of the National Certification Examination for Physical
Therapy.
Experience: Have a working knowledge and experience in using
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience
working with children and adults with Autism preferred.
Required Credentials
Current Florida Department of Health License (or license eligible).
Florida Medicaid number and National Provider Identification number
preferred. CPR Certification/First Aid/Bloodborne
Pathogens/HIV/Aids/Medical Errors, mandatory (training available).
Valid Florida Class D driver's license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk and hear. This position is very active and
requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and
crouching throughout the day. The employee must regularly lift
and/or move up to 75 pounds. The ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds
of force occasionally and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently
and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects,
equipment, and/or clients.
Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings and evaluate clients to determine the need for
intervention/treatment.
Develop a treatment plan; implement, conduct, and monitor the
client's response to treatment. Adapt treatment and programs to
meet the individual needs of the client.
Communicate with the client, family, and team members an
appropriate home or community program to maintain or enhance the
client's performance.
Provide/recommend/fabricate adaptive devices or other equipment,
train clients, family, and appropriate staff in the use or
application of orthotics and prosthetics.
Adapt treatment and programs to meet the individual needs of the
client. Document results of the client's assessment, treatment,
follow-up, and termination of services.

Adhere to department procedures regarding documentation of Physical
Therapy services. Record indirect time and billable treatment times
according to department procedures. Maintain the level of
productivity established by the Therapy Director.
