About this Position: Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Floridais a state-of-the-art,family-centered pediatric hospitaldedicated to providing exceptional care to our youngest patients. OurLevel III NICUoffers advanced neonatal care, specializing in treating premature and medically complex infants. As aNICU Occupational Therapist, you'll be part of amultidisciplinary teamfocused onneurodevelopmental support,feeding therapy, andsensory integrationto help our tiniest patients thrive. In this role you will be responsible for examining, evaluating and testing individuals with mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities or other health and movement-related conditions in order to determine a diagnosis, prognosis and plan of treatment intervention, and assess the ongoing effects of intervention. The OT is also responsible for alleviating impairments, functional limitations and disabilities by designing, implementing and modifying treatment interventions. Additional responsibilities include reducing the risk of injury, impairment, functional limitation and disability, including the promotion and maintenance of fitness, health and wellness in populations of all ages. The OT will be engaged in administration, consultation, education and research. The OT will be expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. Our licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists work closely with medical teams to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients unique needs. What this Position Requires: Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Occupational Therapy. Experience: NICU Experience required Pediatric Acute Care Experience required Certification: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support). License: Active Florida State Occupational Therapist Licensure.
