*Job Summary:*


Corona Cigar Company is looking for an outgoing and professional Bartender/Mixologist to provide the best customer service and endless knowledge of top-shelf spirits to our guests at our new Sarasota location. Candidates must be able to work in a smoking environment. Previous bartending experience is preferred. In addition, candidates must be able to multitask, have a strong work ethic, and the ability to work with a sense of urgency at all times. Attention to detail and the ability to upsell is a must.


*Primary responsibilities include:*


- Provide superior customer service and maintain a friendly personality.


- Upsell and/or cross sell premium bourbons, scotches and other spirits.


- Fill drink orders, mix ingredients (such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters) to prepare cocktails and other drinks / mixologist


- Work a cash register and collect money for drinks served.


- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.


- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. - Take away dirty dishes, glasses and maintain clean ashtrays. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.


- Ensure service stations are stocked and maintain their cleanliness. Ensure bar is stocked with supplies, liquor, beer, wine and garnishes. Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.


- Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.


- Keep floors clean and dry of all debris, cigars and liquid.


- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.


- Perform additional tasks as directed.


- The ability to stand for extended periods of time.


- Be able to reach, bend, climb ladders, stoop and frequently lift up to 10 pounds.


- Maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance at all times.


- Comply with company dress code
