This position reports to our finance department with daily interaction with Human Resources.We are looking for someone who is passionate about serving the needs of individuals impacted by HIV and other infectious diseases. Apply Today!Statement of Purpose: The Payroll Manager pays employees by compiling and processing payroll information and maintains all payroll records for our non-profit and for profit companies. Primary Tasks: Payroll ManagerAccurately processes all data pertaining to payroll.Meets the weekly and biweekly payroll submission deadline to the payroll processing company.Supervises other payroll staff members.Updates records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, direct deposits accounts, insurance changes, deductions, paid time off, status changes, and leaves of absences tracking. Prepares pay by verifying time records, calculating and producing checks or electronic transfers, calculating and processing incentive bonuses. Balances payroll accounts by auditing information, identifying, and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries.Answers questions from employees that may pertain to payroll, including hours, payments, and deductions.Determines payroll liabilities by entering federal and state income (where applicable) and social security tax information, retirement contributions and loan repayments, wage assignments and garnishments.Fulfils wage garnishment requirements by completing forms, adjusting payroll records, documenting, and transmitting withholdings. Remits tax payments by collecting and verifying data; preparing federal and state tax reports, 5500 reporting and W2 statements initiating payment.Reconcile related balance sheet accounts monthly.Review monthly bank statements to compare draws to General Ledger posting and adjust as necessary after research is concluded. Will collaborate closely with Human Resources on a regular basis.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Payroll Manager10 years of payroll experience preferred5-years of supervisory experiencePaylocity experience preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Demonstrated oral and written communication, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Able to work with minimal direct supervision.
