Listen to customer needs, analyze this information and create tailored proposals. Negotiate and close sales while meeting.exceeding sales targets. Impress customers with tailored proposals, quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner. Work with management throughout the hotel and the Company.Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsSolicit, negotiate and confirm new and repeat business through various efforts. I.e: outside sales calls, telemarketing, direct mail, referrals, networking, internet prospecting, etc. to maximize revenues to meet/exceed goalsDevelop and implement creative sales strategy's by analyzing historical, current, and future hotel/market/account trendsPrepare individual monthly sales reports as directed/required by DOSMAct as the primary liaison between the meeting planner and the staff of the property while focusing on the clients expectations. Communicate accurate information for in house groups to assist operations in serving them properly.Conduct site visits and prepare proposals to impress the clientEnsure precise execution of group events by effectively coordinating all operating departments to deliver required services to include but not limited to arrival and departure, meeting room set-ups, audio visual/production needs, special individual needs, diagrams, special events, transportatyion as liasion to hotel staff.Maintain open communication and timely updates with all Departments in an effort to better meet the clients requirementsCommunicated frequently with meeting planner to ensure expectations are met or exceededFocus on consistently execute up-selling approachMeet with clients to work out the details of their functionsEscort clients through the property and highlight features of facility as well as available servicesDistribute BEO (Banquet Event Order) and group resume information to all appropriate hotel departments to facilitate efficient purchasing, planning, and team member schedulingAttending daily BEO meeting and weekly Resume Review meetings when appropriate to review all details and record any last minute changes. Informs operating departments of ant changes, additions, or deletions to assigned group function plans.Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organization and eventsKeep abreast of individual sales goals and develop action plans to achieve goalsOrganize and/or attend scheduled sales department and related meetingsEnsure all guest checks, payments, master folios, and advance deposits are submitted to accountingAdhere to hotel grooming standardsPerform any additional tasks requested by managementEOEM/F/Vet/DisabilityDFWPKolter Hospitality Participates in E-VerifyQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, marketing, business or related field from a four-year college or university or high school diploma or GED plus a minimum of 3 years' sales related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the above skills, knowledge and ability.Experience: Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.Hours required: Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. May be required to work weekends.Skills and Abilities:Effective listening, verbal, written negotiation and closing skills. Understand market dynamics and prepare presentations/proposals tailored to individual clients.Ability to meet/exceed expectations for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and close the business.Knowledge of sales skills and event management.Experience: Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment.
