If youre ready to launch a successful Class A flatbed driving career with an industry leader but only have six months of flatbed experience, Montgomery Transports Extended Training Program is for you! With a valid CDL-A and at least six months of flatbed experience, you can train the Montgomery way. Our three-week training program sets you up for success as a #MTmoneyteam truck driver!

What to expect during the CDL-A flatbed truck driver Extended Training Program:

$1,050 Orientation Pay
$150/day or up to $1,050/week for a 7-day work week
Up to two weeks OTR with driver trainer
Load securement and tarp testing
Successful completion of a road test

Trainer & trainee must load the following commodities:
Steel I Beams
Steel Coils
Laminated engineered trusses
Shingles
Pipe
O/D Rebar
Round bar/Slick bar
Tarped lumber
Slinky coils (potentially)
Plate Steel (potentially)

After successfully completing the Extended Training Program, CDL-A flatbed truck drivers enjoy:

Starting Pay: $.49 CPM with a pay increase to $.50 CPM at 6 months!
Average of $70,000 annually
Weekly Minimum Pay
Up to $1,200/week dependent on tenure (6-12 Months: $1,000/wk; 12-36 Months: $1,100/wk; 36+ Months: $1,200/wk)
Eligible after 6 months tenure with Montgomery Transport
Must meet applicable conditions
Pay for Performance Plan, earn up to an additional $600 / 4 week pay period
Practical Miles, short-haul, tarp, detention, layover & breakdown pay
Weekly Home Time!
401(k) with employer match
Top-of-the-line equipment averaging 1.5 years old
Corporate chaplain service

CDL-A flatbed truck driver Extended Training Program requirements:

A certification of completion from an accredited CDL Training School, as well as a certification of completion of over the road training
No chargeable DOT accidents in the previous 3 years
No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 3 years
No more than 1 preventable chargeable accident in the previous 3 years
Driver experience must meet one of the criteria categories below:
1-WEEK OTR TRAINING
ETP 1: 3-6 months flatbed with minimum of 12 months CDL-A experience
2-WEEK OTR TRAINING
ETP 2: 0-3 months flatbed with minimum of 12 months CDL-A experience
6 months flatbed and 6 months CDL-A experience
