TMR is Florida's largest scrap metal recycler with over 20 recycling facilities located throughout the state. Our facilities include four automobile shredders, balers, shears, mobile shearing, torch processing, auto crushers, an extensive truck and railcar fleet, landfill services and railcar dismantling.

1.  Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Attend safety meetings and participate in safety program.
2. Weigh NF material and input transaction into “in-house” system.
3. Oversee loading of NF trailers/containers as to content, weight and quality.
4. Responsible for following all legal requirements on purchasing non-ferrous materials. These requirements include, but are not limited to; check ID, take pictures of seller, record vehicle information, etc.
5. Interact with employees on other scales to verify/restrict duplication of purchases.
6. Quote non-ferrous prices within a range supplied by management and/or verify correct pricing.
7. Ensure metals that are purchased are correct & properly classified.
8. Print NF tickets for customers to receive payment for materials sold.
9. General labor duties that may include but not limited to: Sweeping, shoveling and general clean-up of any area and/or equipment and physical handling of materials, supplies, etc.
10. Operate small equipment such as a forklift, skid steer, or bobcat, etc.
11. Perform daily inspections on equipment and report any defects or needed repairs to supervisor and clean equipment as needed.
12. Assist and direct customers to proper location to unload materials.
13. Understand environmental policies and maintain a clean work environment as it pertains to our policies and procedures.
14. Willing to cross-train in other positions and assist other employees as needed.
15. Other duties as assigned by your manager.

1.  Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service.
2. Minimum of 1-year previous customer service or general labor in heavy manufacturing environments, preferably in the scrap metal or construction industries.
3. Experience with small equipment preferred.
4. Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
5. Ability to work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day.
6. Ability to adapt to frequent changes of priority and complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision.
7. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
8. Flexible to work overtime, off-hours, weekends, and holidays in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
9. Bilingual preferred.
