Job Description:

looking for a Lead Licensed Counselor who wants to make an impact
in the lives of others.Purpose & Impact:This position is
responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of
all clinical services to the UAC program. This position is
responsible for training and supervising the clinical staff. The
Lead Clinician is also responsible for providing mental health
assessment and ongoing clinical services to the Unaccompanied
Children (UC's) referred to the Dream Center. In collaboration with
the case management team, these services will be provided on an
intensive, short-term basis and will require fluency with the
policies of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).A Day in the
Life of a -Lead Counselor:
- Supervise clinical staff including regular individual and group
staff meetings and case consultation; oversee proper client to
staff ratio; provide daily, weekly and/or monthly clinical
supervision to program staff as required by ORR.
- Assign cases to program staff and oversee service delivery -to
be performed according to, and within, the LSF mission, ORR policy,
and treatment models.
- Provide support with in-crisis or problem cases; provide
on-going assistance to program staff in coordinating services for
clients, including afterhours assistance, support and coverage as
needed or scheduled.
- Conduct clinical intake assessment and provide ongoing clinical
and crisis interventions for clients
- Collaborate regularly with case management team to provide the
clinical perspective in the assessment, service provision, and
discharge of UC's within the ORR-mandated timeframes
- Conduct weekly individual counseling sessions and weekly group
counseling sessions with UC clients
- Conduct sponsor assessments and provide clinical expertise in
sponsor reunification cases
- Apply a working knowledge of child welfare best practices to
protect all clients in care and mitigate risk factors where
possible
- Maintain documentation of all clinical activities in accordance
with ORR policy
- Maintain an updated, working knowledge of DHS and UAC/ORR
policy and operating procedures
- Meet regularly with supervisor to consult on cases, review case
plan decisions, and evaluate client progress
- Provide translation support as needed for clients, sponsors,
and staff
- Liaison with community agencies and attend meetings, conference
and staffing.
- Participate in grant writing, contract negotiating or
re-accreditation preparation, as requested.Other Functions:To
perform other related duties as
assigned.QualificationsEducation:Possession of a Master's degree in
social work, 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery
experience or a Master's degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology,
or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience
is a program requirement, plus 2 years of postgraduate direct
service delivery experience/or bachelor's degree plus 5 years
clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences. Must
have supervisory experience and be licensed to provide clinical
services.Experience:Minimum of 4-5 years of experience relevant to
the position and working with vulnerable, immigrant or migrant
populations. Supervisory experience.Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to drive, have a valid Florida Driver's License
and maintain a clean driving record

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced

- Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions
(using the UAC Portal, Microsoft Office, and any internal case
management software)
- Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population's
cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
- Bilingual -in Spanish/English -preferredPrinciple
