JOB SUMMARY This position is designated as _Essential Personnel _and supervises and coordinates the activities of the Accounting Technicians and Senior Accounting Technicians in the Finance Department to provide professional, effective and efficient customer service to the Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller, County business centers, and the general public. Performs complex clerical and bookkeeping functions to ensure prompt and accurate disbursement of County funds. Supervises the daily scanning and indexing of all financial documents into the imaging/workflow software application.Additional duties may be assigned as they relate to the mission and achieving the established goals of the Sarasota County Clerk and Comptroller organization. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors' degree in Business Management/Business Administration or related field is preferred for this position. Experience: Five years progressively more responsible experience in computerized payables and receivables environment. Extensive knowledge of purchase orders, requisitions, receiving, purchasing card programs, interpreting and applying contract terms, bids, statutes, policies and procedures as well as project management experience required.
